Biography
Laura Miller is deeply rooted in the Coastal Bend. Raised in the extended region, she grew up appreciating everything the area has to offer—from its laid-back coastal lifestyle to its rich community spirit. After spending time away to study and explore new opportunities, she and her husband felt the undeniable pull to return home, where they have since built a life and raised their family.
Laura’s career has always centered around service. She has held roles in economic development, chambers of commerce, local government, and nonprofit organizations, and even spent time teaching English as a second language. She went on to serve three terms as the San Patricio County District Clerk before choosing to pursue a new path. Today, as a real estate agent with Keller Williams Coastal Bend and The Deldi Ortegon Group, Laura blends her extensive community knowledge, passion for helping others, and strong professional background to guide clients with care and confidence. Her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy has even come in handy—more than once—when navigating the emotional side of buying or selling a home. Her commitment to the Coastal Bend extends well beyond her real estate work. Laura proudly serves as a board Member on the Portland Chamber of Commerce, CASA of Bee, Live Oak, McMullen and San Patricio County and the Christus Spohn Foundation Boards. She is also Co-Director of Leadership Portland and recently graduated Class XVIII—a milestone that is especially meaningful, as she helped create the program nearly two decades ago. In addition, she served as President of the ChatWork Civic Club during its 101st and 102nd years in the Portland community and has previously been honored to serve on the Coastal Bend Community Foundation Board. For Laura, real estate is more than a career—it’s an opportunity to invest in the people, growth, and future of the place she has always called home. Her love for the Coastal Bend and her dedication to its success continue to guide her every step of the way.
