FLOUR BLUFF NEIGHBORHOODS
On the coastal edges of Corpus Christi, the neighborhoods of Flour Bluff and North Padre Island look out over both the Laguna Madre and Gulf of Mexico. They are, in short, a beach-lover’s dream. Between the two of them, Flour Bluff and North Padre boast countless piers, mini golf courses, restaurants, golf courses and parks, and the state’s newest Schlitterbahn Water Park. Surrounded by sparkling waters, sea breezes and beautiful, scenic views, these communities are truly idyllic.
Flour Bluff has long been the site of Corpus Christi Naval Air Station, and as such many military members and their loved ones choose to call Flour Bluff or North Padre “home.” And with a wide variety of neighborhoods, amenities, and options for entertainment, it’s no wonder they’ve stuck around. The current growth and revitalization trends blossoming in Downtown Corpus Christi have spread to Flour Bluff (fondly called “The Bluff). Trendy new coffee shops, restaurants, and breweries, as well as newly-built homes on large waterfront acreage, are making The Bluff one of the city’s up-and-coming neighborhoods.
